I purchased your program back in December of 2024 to help me understand my maternity rights. I work for a police department, and as many know, it is a very male-dominated field. When I found out I was pregnant, most of my supervisors were male and couldn’t answer many of my questions. I had a few female partners who had been pregnant before, but even then, many of them shared they were only able to take a short amount of time off depending on what they had “in the books.” I quickly learned that our agency does not pay into a State Disability Insurance. Thankfully, I had already purchased my own short-term disability policy through Aflac, because I had planned ahead for a future pregnancy.
